This is one of my favorite sandwiches and I’m so glad to show it on my food blog Etnocook. To tell You the truth I have a thing for adding different fresh herbs to ethnic dishes. And, actually, I adore growing herbs at my home. This is my basil in an indoor window pot. The leaves of this plant (Ocimum basilicum) are used as a herb.It is very great to have the freshest aromatic leaves when I want.

Basil is very popular European herb with fresh taste, best used fresh. There are many traditions about this herb in different cultures and religions. A lot of legends tell that it is the herb of scorpions. Some people believe that basil can connect with the lord, reflect the wealth or draw fortune.
