Today I’ll tell you about one very interesting old Ukrainian tradition that has thousands of years. After severe cold winter our ancestors looked forward to all even the most little signs of spring. 🌱 The definite fact that the season would change was the return of migratory birds from warm countries. 🐦 Ancient Ukrainian people had a lot of different special poems, songs, and rituals about it. 🔥 So, to make this happen faster, in the middle of March, skylark birds shaped buns were baked. 🌞 Most of them were eaten and presented to beloved ones, and some were burned, as the sacrifice to the spirits of earth. 🙏 People believed that would help nature to wake up, and spring to come. 🤗
